Nothing contained in this policy list creates a contract of employment between an employee and the college. With the exception of tenure-track faculty and certain members of administration under express written employment contracts, employment at the College is on an at-will basis. This means that staff/non-tenure-track faculty are free to resign their employment at any time, for any reason, and the college retains that same right to terminate the employment relationship at any time for any lawful reason. No statements to the contrary, written or oral, made either before or during an individual’s employment can change this. No individual supervisor, manager or vice-president can make a contrary agreement, except for the President or Board of Trustees, and even then, such an agreement must be set forth in a written employment contract with the employee, signed by the President or Board of Trustees representative.
