III. Description of Prohibited Conduct
B. Harassment: Harassment is unwelcome conduct toward another person or identifiable group of persons including, but not limited to, unwelcome verbal, written, or physical conduct that has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual’s work or academci performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working or educational environment and is based on a person’s race, sex, color, age, religion, national origin, citizenship status, sexual orientation, gender identity, mental or physical disability, genetic information, marital status, pregnancy, military or veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law or this policy. It is a violation of this policy to engage in harassment.
