Fire Watch

A Fire Watch is a continuous inspection initiated and conducted by Central College staff in order to provide fire and smoke detection and emergency warning to occupants when a building’s fire alarm and/or sprinkler system is not operational.  Once called, a Fire Watch will continue until the fire alarm/sprinkler system is fully functional.  Fire Watch Patrol personnel serve as a “human smoke detector” and notify 911 (Pella Fire Department) and Central College Student Safety, 641-628-9000, of smoke or fire.
